Production Assistant


Do you have a love of sewing, knowledge in garment construction and an eye for construction detail? Have you worked in garment/textile production either as a machinist, production manager, experienced maker, or something similar? Would you now like to use your skills to support a charity, social enterprise, ethical manufacturer?

We are looking for an experienced Production Assistant to share their skills with our team of women, many facing multiple disadvantage. You will work with our team who are gaining experience working in a professional environment.


You will demonstrate how manufacturing is managed in industry, guiding our team in the production of various commissions and our charity brand Mini Stitches.  By teaching women industry standard skills and using your experience, it will increase employability of women we work with, and support our enterprise in its continued growth.


Based in our Limehouse studio.


You will be available on for at least one day per week between Wednesday and Friday from around 10-3pm. Ideally you will be willing to commit to this position for at least 2 months.


You will be:


- Patient, calm and personable

- Able to relate to women that access our charity

- Able to find methods to demonstrate and communicate techniques to people with varying levels of English

- Experienced in production, manufacturing and able to share these skills with our enthusiastic bunch!
