Not sure which mending service you might need?
Listed below is more information about the services we provide.

350,000 tonnes, around £140 million worth of used, but wearable clothing goes into landfill in the UK every year.

Repairing and extending the life of a garment - by even an extra 12 months -  reduces its environmental impact by 20-30%.

Plus- If you love an item of clothing, why not repair it so that you can continue wearing it?

The most sustainable garment is the one that is already in your wardrobe - it's cheaper to fix a garment you already have than buying something new!

We can fix a seam that has come apart, or is coming loose. Cost is based on size of repair.

Tears or damage to the main body fabric, (not just in the seam) will require an additional service. (We recommend using our holes and tears options for larger rips)

Different options include size, visible (sashiko) or invisible mend.

Jeans often rip in knees, around the crotch, or around pockets.

A denim patch is placed on the inside of the rip or tear, and once sewn, will strengthen the area around the rip.

We will zig zag or straight stitch the patch in place, and follow the grain of the weave, in a similar thread colour.

We can also patch a hole and mend visibly, with hand embroidery like sashiko, for a decorative mend.

Woven fabric means non-stretchy. We will use a similar fabric to create an even shaped patch where torn or ripped.

We will replace your button and match it to the nearest possible colour / size of your other buttons.

If you only have the singular button and no other buttons to reference on the garment, please include desired size / colour on your booking sheet If you want all the buttons on a garment replaced, please provide these.

The buttons will need to be the same size as the existing ones.

(Different options include size)

We will close your hole using hand embroidery/ darning techniques. Please specify whether you would like the thread colour to match or contrast your garment on your booking sheet.

Different options include darning small holes & visible mending for larger holes.

Mending of small holes will not be completely invisible, but we will use similar colours / finishing where possible.

For larger holes we will use visible mending, creating a woven patterned design on top to secure loose threads. Please specify in your booking form whether you’d like your mend to be in a similar or contrasting colour.
